You, Your Kids, and Your
Divorce – This primer into the divorce recovery process restores
hope and biblical responsibility (and opportunity) for parents by
focusing on how divorce impacts each-aged child, but how Christians
can overcome the legacy of divorce. Emphasis is placed on the parent’s
own emotional recovery and walk with God as the primary tool in
helping the child. Mistakes parents commonly make is presented in a
humorous, non-threatening way. A “Parent Report Card” and a “Recipe
for Successful Parenting” developed by the speaker, along with a
reading list, are provided as tools to improve communication between
parent and child.
Mastering the Art of
Co-Parenting with Your Ex - Perhaps the most difficult area for
many following divorce, this seminar offers an unusually high degree
of insight and practical tools from someone who’s “been there” and
overcame adversity through the help of God’s living word, prayer, and
applied psychology. After illustrating the damage conflict brings to
children and the far-reaching generational consequences, help is given
to confront negative thinking that keeps participants stuck in
conflictual relationship patterns with an emotionally challenging
ex-spouse. Scripture and music with Christian themes are used to
“bring home” the power of God’s love and unfailing presence in our
lives. An Action Plan is developed to improve relationships with the
former spouse by owning our mandate as Christians to forgive and even
learn to love those who have wounded us.
Joy in the Journey (of
Single Parenting) - Debunking the term “broken family” in a
Christ-Centered world view where there is no such thing as a Christian
“single parent,” this seminar brings comfort, peace, and power to
single parents struggling with identity and emotional issues.
Participants look to the presence of Christ in their lives today with
the assurance He will never leave them. An Action Plan for overcoming
adversities common to single parents is developed by each participant.
Free to Be Me (Healing
From Abuse) - Statistics show that one in every four women has
been sexually abused but the number suffering from emotional and
psychological abuse is far higher. This seminar directed at women
works on rebuilding self-esteem through scriptural empowerment. Women
are taught to identify abuse, understand the psychology behind
abusers, and how to respond to an abusive person. Forgiveness through
Christ is highlighted as the path to true freedom. Participants
develop an Action Plan that addresses wellness and a return to
happiness from a Christian perspective.
Life in the Trenches
– How to Handle and Heal from Your Husband’s Sexual Addiction-

with the goal of helping participants toward non-personalization and
restoration of a healthy identity.

Participants are given the opportunity to share their pain and connect
with others for support. Action plans are developed and follow-up
meetings are set to encourage fellowship and prayer.
